About the Directory
The Mathews
County Visitor & Information Center (MCVIC) website attracts between
2,500 and 4,000 visitors each month, the larger traffic occurring in
summer when tourists and seasonal residents swell the population.
This makes MCVIC an ideal on-line medium through which our many
talented and skilled artisans and emerging home-based businesses in
Mathews county may
publicize their business services.
Whom do
you call when you need help with upholstering, yard work or house
cleaning? How about pet sitting, promotional items, fresh produce,
specialty cakes? Want to go fishing? The possibilities are
endless. Start with MCVIC to discover the wonderful people who know
Mathews and our waters best. Let MCVIC be your first stop when
shopping for community services.
How do
individuals and businesses participate? It’s easy. If you want to advertise your
services in the MCVIC directory, just Register and Sign In. The
system will help you create your listing through a process that
takes just a few minutes. Participate and watch your business grow
as the Directory becomes known as the primary link to community
businesses.

NOTE: The
directory is intended primarily for "Mom & Pop" home-based enterprises and
emerging businesses. It was developed with financial support from the
Industrial Development Authority of Mathews County. MCVIC extends special thanks
to Mathews County's Jim Robinson of
East River Marketing and Board of
Supervisors member, Janine
F. Burns, for their suggestions in the Directory
development phase.
